Holgates Holiday Parks

Across our locations part of the Holgates Family Group, we strive to ensure that all visitors can enjoy the accommodation, facilities and surroundings on the park or at the location. Our aim is to help in any way that we can and if you require any assistance whilst at one of our locations, or whilst planning to visit, we will be delighted to offer our services.
Our Head Office Reception is open from 9am to 8pm (6pm during select periods); outside these hours emergency assistance is available via our park wardens. Mobile phone coverage is generally good on most networks across our locations, however due to being largely based in rural areas, some networks may have a weaker signal than others. If you find this is the case, look out for a public telephone as these may be located at your chosen location.
Within this access statement, you will find details on our locations and how the features they have to increase accessibility and hopefully enable all visitors to enjoy our locations. You may find some of our locations have more features in place than others, often due to the scale or nature of the location; for example: you will find more features in place at one of our larger holiday parks with a range of facilities in comparison to a smaller holiday park with less facilities.

When referring to locations within this statement, we are discussing our holiday parks, holiday cottages and all other areas within the Holgates Family Group.
Silverdale Holiday Park
Middlebarrow Plain, Cove Road, Silverdale, Lancashire, LA5 0SH
Our reception, shop, restaurant, arcade, function rooms and ice cream parlour are all accessible via a ramp. Double doors are located at two points to access the leisure complex, one of these being automatic doors into the reception. An accessible toilet is located within the leisure complex. Across the park we have a 10mph speed limit, please observe this whilst driving around the park. The shop at Silverdale Holiday Park offers a wide range of goods, including all the essentials, accessible via ramp access. Car parking is also available by the shop for visiting this service in your vehicle.

A shuttle bus service runs direct from the main car park at Silverdale Holiday Park, stopping in Silverdale Village and Silverdale Train Station, providing connections to Lancaster, Carnforth and Grange-over-Sands. If you wish to travel using a local taxi service, please ask our team for some contact details. It is recommended taxis are booked in advance, due to our rural location.
Our swimming and leisure club facilities feature an accessible shower and changing room.
In our facilities blocks, primarily used by holiday guests who are staying on a touring pitch, camping pitch or glamping pod, we have an accessible toilet and shower.

Bay View Holiday Park
A6 Main Road, Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforth, LA5 9TN
Our reception, shop, bar and restaurant are all wheelchair accessible. Due to the nature of our Bay View park, you may find some areas are steeper than others. An accessible toilet is located in reception.
Across the park we have a 10mph speed limit, please observe this whilst driving around the park.
Our shop at Bay View Holiday Park, which is linked with the reception area, offers a wide range of goods, including all the essentials. Car parking is available nearby the reception and shop area for visiting these services in your vehicle.

Our closest bus stop is Detron Gate Farm, with a range of services providing connections to Carnforth Train Station, Carnforth, Lancaster and the Lake District. If you wish to travel using a local taxi service, please ask our team for some contact details.

Holgates Cottage Collection
All of our holiday cottages have private parking, some of which are level from leaving a vehicle to the front door. Other cottages have gardens and surrounding areas with varying surfaces such as gravel, roads and steps between parking and the front door. All cottage bedrooms are upstairs.

Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEPS)
We are committed to keeping all of our guests safe whilst staying with us at one of our locations. Part of keeping you safe may include providing a ‘Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan’ which we are happy to provide upon request, if you feel additional assistance may be required upon evacuating our accommodation in the event of an emergency.
If you wish to prepare a ‘PEEP’ we will endeavour to provide assistance in any way practical, however due to the remote location of our holiday accommodation physical assistance may be harder to provide.
Please download our template prior to your stay, or ask a member of the team on arrival who will be able to prepare this with you.
