Marsh House is a scenic 15-minute stroll away from Carnforth, a traditional market town popular with walkers and cyclists. Home to many independent shops and stalls, you’ll discover something unique to treasure. Be sure to visit the town’s award-winning railway station and heritage centre, which offers exhibitions and regular events. Known as “The Gateway to The Lakes,” Kendal has much to offer just a 17-mile drive away. This market town provides everything you need before venturing further into the Lake District. You’ll find museums, art galleries, historic buildings, and an outdoor marketplace open every Wednesday and Saturday.

Shore Road is the coastal route from the park that allows you to meander past the estuary into Carnforth, with the option to cross the bridge towards Warton. For photography enthusiasts, consider a walk to Jenny Brown’s Point, which offers panoramic views of Morecambe Bay. It’s also an excellent starting point for a coastline walk where you can truly connect with nature.
